The School Day
Structure of school day
Our school day begins at 8.50am each day and finishes at 3.20pm. The day is divided into five periods, plus a morning break and a lunch break.
The total length of each school day is 6 hours 30 minutes, and the total of our core school week is 32 hours 30 minutes.
Registration
Students are expected to be in their form rooms at 8.50am. It is important that students arrive to school prior to this time so that they are calm and prepared for the day ahead, ready to learn. Students who are persistently late will receive after-school detentions.
Morning Registration: 8.50am-9.05am
Lesson 1: 9.05am-10.05am
Lesson 2: 10.05am-11.05am
Break: 11.05am-11.20am
Lesson 3: 11.20am-12.20pm
Lunch: 12.20pm-1.20pm
Lunch (A) Yrs10/11/12/13 - 12.20pm-12.50pm
Lunch (B) Yrs7/8/9 - 12.50pm-1.20pm
Lesson 4: 1.20pm- 2.20pm
Lesson 5: 2.20pm-3.20pm
The pattern of Assemblies is as follows:-
Monday: Safeguarding Assembly - Mr Bromfield
Tuesday: Upper School Assembly - Mrs Wealleans
Wednesday: Sixth Form Assembly - Mrs Steels
Thursday: Headteacher Assembly - Mr Hartley
Friday: Lower School Assembly - Mr O’Doherty
